Genesis 1:6-8
6 And God said, "Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let
it separate the waters from the waters." 7 So God made the dome and
separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were
above the dome. And it was so. 8 God called the dome Sky. And there was
evening and there was morning, the second day.

The Second Day
The Minnesota Twins play in a structure called the Metrodome. It is
pretty amazing to see from the outside.the huge balloon-like dome rises
up out of the city, and I often wonder if it is just going to "lift-off"
some day like a hot air balloon. When I think of God's second day, I
often picture him creating a "skydome" which looks a lot like the
Metrodome. Even more intriguing and confounding is that this "God of
the big picture" has every hair on your head counted! He is a "God of
details" as well! So much that he calls you by name, knows your every
thought completely, and provides you with all you need from day to day.

May you be reminded this day that the God who stretched apart the waters
and created our expansive Sky, is the same God who delicately and
carefully knit you together in the womb!
