Tuesday November 22, 2005

This week's devotions are being written by Karen Ludwig: who is very
thankful for  the opportunity to "Think on Thanks"   The vehicle for  the
thinking is the hymn: "Now Thank We All Our God", a favorite of mine through
many years!

 

VERSE 1

Now thank we all our God With hearts and hands and voices, 

Who wondrous things hath done, In whom His world rejoices; 

Who from our mother' arms, Hath blessed us on our way 

With countless gifts of love, And still is ours today.

 

Thought

 We have been blessed from the very beginning- from the time we were babes,
cradled in the loving arms of our parent, mother and/or father! The love of
parents is powerful-it extends to the young baby in the intensive care unit
of Mott whose parents lovingly hold and embrace their first born, wanting so
much to see him on his way to a blessed life. They gather together to have
him baptized into a community of faith, where prayer upon prayer is there
for him. As that community of faith we join our prayers to all travelers,
young and old who are on their way, gifting them with our love.

Let us give thanks for those who through the years have prayed us on our
way-Let us give love to those who need our support along their life's
journey.
