Daily Devotions Saturday July 29, 2006

The devotions this week are written by Karen Ludwig to reflect a Hiker's
Lord's Prayer. Anyone who ventures into the outdoors may appreciate the
intent of this reflection, the result of a recent backpacking trip in the
Appalachian Mountains.

 

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, 

Forever-and ever-AMEN

 

This kingdom on earth is magnificent-I could not have assembled it.

Its beauty defies description and leaves me breathless.

What power there was in the creative force that formed it.

Power as only you God hold in your hands and use for good.

All the earth testifies to your glory-

And I add my small voice to the chorus.

 

Forever and ever-may it be so.
